When Andria Rautenbach was tagged in an adoption promotion post, she couldn’t believe her eyes. There, staring back at her from the screen, was a dog named Blueberry who looked exactly like her beloved Cody. Same beige, brindle and white patches and same soulful eyes—it was as if fate had worked a little magic for Blueberry who was longing for a family of her own.
Filled with excitement, Andria knew she just had to meet her.
When she and Cody arrived at the SPCA, the instantaneous connection between the two dogs was undeniable. The standard (and sometimes tense) meet and greet between an existing pet and a potential adoption candidate quickly turned into a half an hour of joyful play, for Cody and Blueberry. It was like they had known each other forever.
The day Blueberry found her forever home, Cody found a sister who could have been his twin. Some things, as they say, are just meant to be.
