Because every tail deserves a happy ending…

July Happy Homings

Possibly the best part of everything we do at the SPCA is our Happy Homings.

To see the joy on the faces of the new families and the sheer delight of the animals they adopt makes all the blood, sweat and tears worthwhile.

Many of the animals who come through our doors have been rescued from situations of such diabolical cruelty it is hard to imagine.

Others have endured traumas such as abandonment, bereavement from a deceased and beloved owner, getting lost and finding themselves stray… their hearts beat as ours and they feel emotions just as deeply.

Reading progress

All of the waiting was worth it for this special boy!

Chase was handed in as unwanted & waited so long for this perfect family. He will soon be fit & running alongside his mom on their trail runs!

Chase is already being adored & is so loved.

Chase going for walkies with his new family at last! A happier face you'll struggle to find.
Chase finally gets the love he deserves

Elroy has found himself the most active and loving family!

Elroy is a +-11 month-old male boomer/maltese cross who was found as a stray. He is a delightful, fun companion. What a sweet, energetic and playful boy! He enjoys playtime and cuddles.

Office puppy Dixie found the most fab home with Linda & her 4 legged sister Toffee. Little Dixie is going to be living her best life!

Nix found a wonderful home!

New mommy Robyn Edwards says, “she’s lovely. So calm, sleeps on the bed with us as if she’s been a house dog her entire life. Thanks again so much – she’s brought so much more happiness into our home.”

Cape of Good Hope SPCA - Roland Happy Homing 2022.07

New dog dad Greg Craddock says Roland is “coping very well. Eats very fast and always wants more. He has adjusted well and already dominating the show here! Seems scared when he hears other dogs barking but I can hear him trying to bark back now which is cool.”
