We recently received a letter from Claire Davidson, who was very surprised to find an SPCA Representative knocking at her door a few weeks ago:
“I am super impressed with the tireless and amazing work of the Cape of Good Hope SPCA – yesterday the doorbell rang, a lovely man called Trevor popped by to see how Patches was doing after ONE YEAR of being adopted. How amazing are these people at what must be a very hard job! Amazing.
PS in case you were wondering, he never had seen such a spoilt couple of dogs and cats!
“Thanks for all the good work you guys do, keep it up! xxx”, wrote Claire.
The SPCA takes pet adoptions very seriously. After looking after, healing, and more often than not completely falling in love with the furry creatures in our care, it is of utmost importance to us that when they go off to their new homes – these are indeed loving, cruelty-free, forever homes. That is why we not only have a very strict adoption process in place that has to be adhered to before any animal is adopted out, but we also make sure to check on the animals after they’ve left our shelter.
Thank you Claire, and all our other adoptive parents, for opening your hearts to shelter animals like Patches. None of our Happy Tails would be possible without people like you
