Caring for 350 dogs, every day, comes at a price. Feeding them the right food – two tons of it – costs R30 000 a month.

For most of the dogs in our kennels – many of whom were abused or neglected like Sparkles – meals are the happy highlight of their day. Quality food doesn’t just provide essential nutrition, it also brings kindness … attention, affection, a gentle pat … the promise that there are good people who want to help.
