Adoption Process

  1. View the animals currently up for adoption by visiting our Adoption page here. You can also follow our Facebook page where we regularly post images and updates on the animals as they become ready for adoption.
  2. All adoptions are completed in person at our premises, but you may register online as a prospective adopter before visiting us. This information helps us assess your suitability and match you to the right selection of potential pets.
  3. An adoption application will then be completed in person.
  4. A home check is done to ensure that your home will be suitable for the animal.
  5. Once your application is approved and the animal is ready the adopter can fetch their new equine/farm animal or the SPCA can transport for them at a pre-arranged time at a cost of R8.00 per kilometre (both ways)

(Please allow roughly 7 days for the adoption process to be completed)

Costs
Farm Animals: To be negotiated depending on animal type.

The following are also considered as criteria for adoption
