The South African Weather Service has issued a level 6 weather warning following predictions of a strong cold front which will impact the Western Cape from today (Thursday 26 August 2021 into Friday). Heavy rain, strong to near gale-force winds, snow on the high-lying areas and very rough seas can be expected.
Animals will be at Risk
Our Inspectors work closely with The City’s Disaster Risk Management Centre and will be on standby to assist with the evacuation of animals from flooded areas.
Our team of inspectors who will be on duty today and during the night ahead will also be actively seeking out animals at risk of exposure and will be doing everything they can to save lives!
