It’s hard to believe somebody once threw this beautiful boy away… didn’t think he was worth helping, let alone saving. But we did. I’m sure you’d have wanted to help him, too.
Star Master was skin and bone … his injuries told his story. Bald, bleeding patches on his coat spoke of rough harnesses that never fitted properly and kept him tied to a cart.
There was also the chaffing to his withers … so severe that blood seeped through his skin; and his mouth was torn, likely from a bit that was crudely fashioned from wire.
Our Best Friends helped us give Star Master the chance to recover. They have a hand in helping our Horse Care Unit to keep up their work – which is why I’m hoping you’ll want to join today.
Best Friends is a club for special supporters who gift our Horse Care Unit R600 a year (that’s R50 a month), so that abused horses like Star Master get the urgent attention they need.
It costs around R22 000 to feed our equine rescues every month – on top of their medicines, veterinary care, farrier costs, bedding … the list is long – and expensive.
We can’t manage without help from friends like you – so please, join Best Friends today, so that when another ‘Star Master’ needs help, we can save him – together.
