Captain Crow-a-Lot’s on a Clucking Crusade!

He’s here to ruffle some feathers and have a “peck-tacular” time championing the 5 Animal Freedoms. But wait, there’s more egg-citing news!

He has a lot to crow about but he’s also walking his squawk!  He’s taking on the full Sanlam Cape Town Marathon – a whopping 46km! It’s no walk in the chicken coop!  Actually, It’s been tried before and let’s just say there’s egg on some faces.

With feathers ruffled by the plight of animals in need, Captain Crow-a-Lot, the spirited avian advocate of the Cape of Good Hope SPCA, has embarked on a mission to champion animal welfare and inspire kindness by standing for the Five Animal Freedoms that every creature, great and small, rightfully deserves.

While’s he’s sweating it out, he’ll be counting on you to do your part to create a brighter, chirpier future for every critter, from cheeky chickens to colourful chameleons!

You can “Cock-a-Doodle-Do Good” with Captain Crow-a-Lot by donating towards his marathon run. Your contribution will enable the Cape of Good Hope SPCA to continue upholding the Five Animal Freedoms, a mission we undertake daily in our work with animals.

Every Rand you donate will bring us one step closer to a world where animals are treated as they deserve to be – with compassion and respect for the 5 Animal freedoms.

To kick-start his mission, Captain Crow-a-Lot challenged several other mascots to a dash down the iconic Sea Point promenade marking the start of his egg-citing commitment to raising awareness and funds for animals in need.
