Chanté van Rooyen has been making a daily pilgrimage to The Cape of Good Hope SPCA (Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) with her beloved dog Milo, who is currently undergoing outpatient treatment for parvovirus.
For five consecutive days, Chanté and Milo have embarked on a 45-minute wheelchair trek to the SPCA, with Milo travelling in comfort and Chanté sweating it out to go the distance for him.
The sight of her coming in our gates has given us a much-needed daily dose of inspiration because it reminded us of the incredible power of the bond between a pet and an owner who cares and just what lengths some pet owners will go to for the well-being of their animals.
