FAITH NEEDS YOUR HELP!
We named her Faith because we have faith in her and will do everything possible to make sure she makes a full recovery.
This morning a young puppy was rescued from the streets in Lotus River.
Faith was found limping the streets with a severe injury on her left front paw, scavenging for food. This poor puppy was evidently in pain and in desperate need of rescue.
When help arrived, Faith immediately ran into the arms of her rescuer, wagging her tail and knowing she had been saved.
On closer examination, protruding bones and a rotten paw could be seen. The smell of the infected wound was overwhelming. No animal deserves this type of cruelty or suffering.

At the SPCA’s Animal Hospital, Dr Janelle Maistry examined Faith and immediately gave her medication to manage the pain.
A sense of relief could be seen in Faith’s face as the medication was administered. She was no longer in pain.
We suspect that her paw was caught in a snare and that she was injured approximately three weeks ago.
This means that Faith had to endure pain and suffering for more than three weeks, licking her paw to try and bring some relief to herself.
Sadly, due to the advanced stage of the infection, the prognosis to save the leg is poor. The only way to save Faith was by amputating the leg.
However, this is only the start of her healing process, and she needs your help!
You can help save Faith by making a contribution towards her veterinary expenses.
