Panicked Cat Rescued From Telephone Pole

Reading progress

Inspector Rudolph Philander responded to a distress call at 18h00 on Wednesday 2 March 2022. The distressed cat owner called for assistance when her cat got stuck on a telephone pole. On his arrival, Inspector Philander called in the support of City of Cape Town Fire and Rescue services to assist with the rescue. “I could see the cat was in a state of panic and distress. I immediately contacted the SPCA control room for City of Cape Town’s Fire and Rescue Services to be dispatched.”

A team of big hearts and big boots arrived with fire engine E48 twenty minutes later. The crew assessed the situation and soon thereafter reunited the cat with a very happy and relieved owner standing by.
