Tethered in a Tiny Box

Reading progress

Inspector Rudolph Philander rescued Polly from dire living conditions in Bellville.

“On the 22nd of February, I received a case regarding a dog that was being beaten and dragged by the owner in Prime Park, Bellville. When I arrived on the scene I found the dog living in horrible conditions – she was tethered with a wire inside a small wooden box that was also closed, which prevented her from coming out of the box.

Over the course of the investigation, I issued 2 warnings for the dog to be removed from the tether and also to be set free from the box.

The owner complied with this but the dog was now roaming the streets, unsupervised.

I took action in loading the dog as a stray, in hopes of finding a loving home for her.”
