Those who leave legacy gifts to our organisation are always lovingly remembered. But often, we don’t get the opportunity to personally thank them for their generosity.
Recently, we received such a gift from Wendy Sergeant – and contacted her niece, Mignon Sergeant, to express our gratitude to the family. We invited Mignon to visit our SPCA to see just what a difference her Aunt’s legacy has made.
It seems a love of animals runs in the family! Mignon’s 11 year old daughter, Amy, had chosen to do a school project on the SPCA – so the whole family came to visit and find out more about our work. So inspired by the visit was Amy that she decided to support our SPCA herself by selling homemade animal crafts at her school market. She raised an incredible R600 for our animals.
Thank you to the entire family for their enduring support, passed down through the generations. It’s people like you who make our work so rewarding!
