From a sad, unwanted stray to a dream life in the country – thank you for helping KhU’Jha get her second chance of happiness.
Not many people would make a 300 km round trip to pick up an adopted dog from our SPCA. But when the de Villiers from Napier fell in love with cute and cuddly KhU’Jha the Chow, they didn’t hesitate.
Now, this real live teddy bear spends her days sleeping in the sun, exploring the garden and pottering in and out of the house at will.
“She is such a sweet girl, with a quiet, calm and loving nature,” says new owner, Caron. “Sometimes she tries to mother the tortoises; she sits down next to them and licks them very tenderly – it’s so sweet to watch.”
KhU’Jha enjoys car rides – sitting in the back seat and looking out of the window as if she is being chauffeured around. She also has a taste for healthy snacks and chews happily on raw broccoli!
Before being adopted, KhU’Jha spent several months at our SPCA, learning to trust humans again – and it’s friends like you who helped ensure she had all the food and care she needed to recover. Thank you for the part you played in this – and so many other – happy ever after stories!
