Ozzy’s post operation update

Reading progress

Background

Ozzy arrived at the Cape of Good Hope SPCA on 17 November with a complete, transverse fracture of the mid diaphyseal radius and ulna to his left front leg.

The cause of the fracture was the result of a dog bite following an attack in the park.

The procedure

Ozzy was the first patient to benefit from advanced orthopaedic surgery done using the recently acquired bone plating kit.  The surgery was successful.

Post-operation recovery

Ozzy has been given a clean bill of health from Head Veterinarian Dr Este Spies, who just completed her ward round to check up on Ozzy’s progress.
