It takes a brave heart to take on endurance sporting challenges – and it takes a big heart to use these events as an opportunity to raise funds for animals at the SPCA. In March, 45 incredible cyclists answered our call to #Race2Rescue and cycled their hearts out in the Cape Town Cycle Tour, battling a gruelling 109km route to raise a whopping R175 000 for the SPCA.
Then in April, 46 runners took on the 21.1km Totalsports Two Oceans half marathon and 11 runners took on the 56km ultra-marathon, raising R160 000 to support our work with animals!
We thank all our runners and riders for championing our cause and sweating it out for us. It’s because of you that we are able to continue our important work.
