Tail’s Up Lottery Winner Jilly Parker Gives Back

Reading progress

This month’s Rising Star, winner of the Tails Up Club Lottery is Jilly Parker who paints such a beautiful – albeit a little sad – story, generously opting to donate her prize money back to the Cape of Good Hope SPCA.

“This is George who is now 11 and runs the home we live in central London. I have stage four lung cancer now which has spread to my hip and although I am doing incredibly well due to me being a long distant runner, I was bed bound for two months. George became my main carer and would not leave my side. We are back to our long walks again.”

“I would like to donate the win back to the SPCA as thanks for George. Although he is SO naughty and has totally dominated me (he thinks he is my husband) and our other dog  Sammy,” (also a rescue from SA).

Jilly, we are so glad you have George (and Sammy) who are with you every step of the way. Your love for him has allowed him to develop into his own beautiful and caring personality (naughtiness included). He is absolutely beautiful. Thank you for adopting him.

Thank you so very much for wanting to donate the winnings back to Cape of Good Hope SPCA. This is such a beautiful gesture.
