Melissa Taljaard, a resident of Wynberg was left feeling somewhat starstruck when she received a call to inform her she has become The Cape of Good Hope SPCA’s next Rising Star.
Melissa first joined the Rising Stars Tails Up Lottery in April 2020 and have since acquired several tickets in support of the community outreach initiative focused on mobile clinic service expansion. One of her tickets won her R10 000.
“OMG are you serious? That is amazing”
Rising Stars Tails Up Club convener Greta Marz says the random selected winning ticket was confirmed by BDO Auditor, Sbuyiselo Mshengu before Melissa Taljaard was informed of the outcome. The lucky winner was notified by telephone.
“I would like to thank the Cape of Good Hope SPCA, not just for the prize, but for all they do for this community. I will continue supporting the Rising Stars Tails Up Club, because I really believe in the good it does”
Melissa also adopted from the Cape of Good Hope SPCA and received the call on the 1st year adoption anniversary, making the occasion extra special.
