Little Bird Rescued

Reading progress

On Monday 7 March 2022 at around 15h50 Inspector Philander and Trainee Inspector Lwando rescued a little bird.  The little bird believed to be a Red-Knobbed Coot was seen on the middleman trying to cross a busy peak hour on Jan Smuts Drive. Inspector Philander stopped his vehicle immediately got out with Trainee Inspector Mabude and rescued the little bird.  Inspector Philander reported “If we had not intervened this poor bird would have suffered severely and died a very slow and painful death. Big, small, furry or not, we only care about the wellbeing of animals and we love them all equally.”
